Chelsea escaped death by a whisker as they faced a pumped up Leeds united side in their 3-2 win. A Late goal from Gallagher was enough to see the London boys through to the Quarter finals.
Liverpool with its college boys dismantled Southampton in a 3-0 win as they keep their hopes of the quadruple alive in their last season with coach Jürgen Klopp.
Wolves were successful in their battle against Brighton in a 1 nill win, all that flame and momentum at the start of the season from Brighton seems to have halted and the whole magic stopped.
I saved the best for last, it was the majestic Manchester United side who won against Nottingham Forest in a classic last minute win as the Brazilian magnifico, Casemiro drilled the ball from a Bruno cross.
Only the big boys are left for the quarter finals, Manchester City will have to deal with a Newcastle side that has everything to prove in their quarter final match. It will be the battle of the bluest shade as Chelsea tackles a Leicester side allergic to loosing.
Manchester United will play their biggest rivals, Liverpool and will be at the forefront of defence in an effort of stopping Liverpool a chance at the quadruple. Wolves will face Coventry in an expected walkover as they seek a spot in the semi finals.
In other news that concern home, the Zimbabwe Castle Lager Premier Soccer League has been scheduled to commence on 9 March.
The reason for its postponement was giving clubs a little time to prepare and sort out their venues, it has been reported but Manica Diamonds is busy renovating their home ground bringing the number of clubs with own venues upwards.
Trolls have sarcastically insinuated that the main reason for this postponement was to allow a certain team from Harare more time to train after an embarrassing defeat, ngatisataurei mazita (lets not mention names)
